About the Journal

Focus and Scope
UNESC em Revista is a biannual publication from the Espírito Santo University Center dedicated to disseminating studies of theoretical or applied nature that result from multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research. The primary contribution is the research article; however, the journal publishes case reports and invited reviews. The Editorial Board makes the final decision on the publication of articles, and all copyright is transferred to the journal upon publication.

Peer Review Process
The submitted articles were sent to one or two reviewers with expertise in the field of peer review. The editors coordinate communication between authors and reviewers and make the final decision on which articles will be published based on the reviewer’s recommendations. Articles that were not accepted were returned for the editor’s justification.

Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate free access to its content, adhering to the principle that the free availability of scientific knowledge promotes greater global democratization of knowledge. No submission or publication fees are charged.

Journal History
UNESC em Revista is a scientific journal with a biannual frequency that disseminates academic production from both institutional and external collaborators. Created in 1998 (ISSN 1518-5257), featured printed publications until the end of 2015. In 2017, following global trends, the journal transitioned to digital publications using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.
