THE IMPORTANCE OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION IN CITIZEN TRAINING: HUMAN RIGHTS SINCE CHILDHOOD

This article aims to examine Early Childhood Education as a fundamental right, emphasizing its historical development, legal foundations, and its critical role in the comprehensive development of children. It also explores the integration of human rights principles within early childhood educational practices, analyzing public policies and the responsibilities of the State in ensuring the effective realization of these rights. The study is grounded in a bibliographic review, including document analysis and a critical examination of theoretical contributions from key scholars in the educational field, such as Celso Antunes and Maria Cecília de Souza Minayo. The research seeks to promote an early understanding of the significance of becoming a responsible and inclusive citizen, capable of recognizing and valuing the rights of others from early childhood.
